a female land agent was sentenced to death in Ho Chi Minh City for bribery, cover-up and trickery.
The death sentence was handed down to Pham Thi Tuyet Lan, who was hired by de facto landowners to apply for land titles on their behalf, but who instead sold their land and pocketed over VND10 billion ($625,000), with assistance from key district leaders.
