February 27, 2026 - IRAN. 7 men executed in late January and early February 2026
Hatem Shamshiri, Fariborz Ezzati, Saeed Fazeli, Asghar Fathi, Erfan Salehi, Amir Rouhi, Ardeshir Molaei
Iranian authorities carried out the executions of several men in late January and early February 2026.
According to information received by Hengaw:
On January 31, 2026
- Hatem Shamshiri from Aligudarz was executed in Khorramabad Central Prison on drug-related charges.
On January 6, 2026
- Fariborz Ezzati and
- Saeed Fazeli were executed in Khorramabad Central Prison in separate cases involving murder. Hengaw has learned that Ezzati and Fazeli were denied a final visit with their families and were executed without prior notice.
On February 15, 2026
- Asghar Fathi from Borujerd and
- Erfan Salehi, 32-year-old, from Aligudarz were executed in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd). Both men had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
On February 25, 2026
- Amir Rouhi was executed in Hamedan Central Prison on murder charges.
On February 26, 2026
- Ardeshir Molaei, a 40-year-old from Malayer and father of one child, was executed in Hamedan Central Prison on drug-related charges.
State media have not announced these executions. Hengaw has learned that at least two of the executions were carried out in secret and without granting the prisoners a final visit with their families.
