June 12, 2026 - IRAN. Mohammadreza Maleki (Malekzadeh) executed in Yazd on June 12 (or June 2)
A man was hanged at Yazd Central Prison on 12 June. His identity has been established as Mohammadreza Maleki from Yazd. He was on death row for drug-related offences and was transferred for execution from Ardakan Prison. According to another source, Hengaw, the execution took place on June 2.
At the time of writing, the execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
