June 14, 2026 - IRAN. Hassan Fatemi Hanged in Sari on June 14
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man identified as Hassan Fatemi was hanged in Sari Central Prison on 14 June 2026. Fatemi, 24, from Sari, was arrested around four years ago for murder.
A source told IHR: “Hassan was arrested for the murder of his step-mother. Hassan’s two younger sisters lived with their father and stepmother, and the stepmother subjected his sisters to abuse. Hassan had warned her several times, but ultimately, in a moment of anger, he pushed her down the apartment stairs She suffered a brain injury as a result of the fall and died.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
