May 25, 2026 - IRAN. Farhang Shekhala executed in Sanandaj on May 25
Iranian authorities have executed Farhang Shekhala, a man from Sanandaj (Sine), at the city’s Central Prison.
Information received by Hengaw on May 30 indicates that the execution was carried out in the early hours of May 25, 2026.
Informed sources told Hengaw that Shekhala was arrested four years ago on a murder charge.
Iranian state media have not publicly announced the execution.
