February 22, 2026 - IRAN. Mohammad Javad Masoumi (Mohammadjavad Masoumi) executed in Ardabil on February 22

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a Turkish man from Ardabil was hanged in Ardabil Central Prison on 22 February 2026. His identity has been established as 26-year-old Mohammad Javad Masoumi. He was arrested for a murder that took place in the course of a street fight around three years ago.

At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
