December 28, 2025 - IRAN. Younes Afshari executed in Hamedan on December 28.

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged Hamedan Central Prison on 28 December 2025. His identity has been established as 27-year-old Younes Afshari from Aligudarz. He was arrested around four years ago for murder.

At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
