a Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry statement said that authorities beheaded Ahmed bin Ali bin Hassan in the southwestern province of Asir.Hassan was convicted of fatally shooting compatriot Abdel-Rahman bin Dafer bin Ali in a dispute. It did not elaborate on the nature of the dispute.
According to an Associated Press count, the execution brought the number of beheadings in the kingdom this year to 43.
