The duo, 22 year old Huang Xuanzhu and 19 year old Ni Peijun, ‘peasants from Sichuan Province’, were executed following a public trial.
They had reportedly gone to Qujing and followed home a 32-year-old woman surnamed Zhao on the night of July 27, 2005.
Armed with knives, they barged into her house demanding she hand over valuables.
She refused and was stabbed to death by Huang whilst Ni stabbed Zhao's husband as he was leaving the bathroom. On Huang’s orders, Ni then killed the couple’s crying boy.
