Farhard Akbari was executed on January 15, 2019 at the Ilam Central Prison. The news was published by Hengaw, saying it was taken from IHR. Akbari, a Kurdish, was charged of a murder committed when he was 15 years and 9 months old.
The Kuala Lumpur High Court in the Malaysian capital on January 8, 2026 sentenced a Nigerian national to death by hanging after finding him guilty of murdering his step-grandson by throwing the four-year-old child from the third floor of an apartment in the city six years ago.
