it was reported that the death sentence for a “young man”, Qarib Rahman, has been approved by the Iranian mullahs' judiciary putting him on the verge of execution. He was charged with murder, an accusation he denies.
A special tribunal in Bangladesh on June 28, 2026 gave the death sentence in absentia to three police officers, including the former police chief of the capital Dhaka, in connection with the killing of protesters during a 2024 uprising that led to the collapse of the government.
