IRAN: THREE YOUNG MEN HANGED IN PUBLIC

Three young men were hanged publicly in the Azadi (Freedom) Square of Kermanshah in western Iran this morning.
According to the official website of the judiciary in Kermanshah, the men were identified as "Javad A.", "Milad Gh." and "Javad A." and convicted of kidnapping and rape of girl on April 25th this year.
The men were hanged at 10 AM in the morning.
The age of the three men was not mentioned in the report but according to the report they had an average age of 21 years and two months.
The final verdict was issued at a local court only 18 days after the alleged offence and the sentence was approved by the Supreme Court one week later. The execution order was finally given by the head of the Iranian judiciary on July 10th.
