Vali (Wali) Zandian was hanged at the Ardabil Prison on April 18. According to some source, the day could have been April 24. Zandian, age 45, was sentenced to death for rape charges.

Vali (Wali) Zandian was hanged at the Ardabil Prison on April 18. According to some source, the day could have been April 24. Zandian, age 45, was sentenced to death for rape charges.
The Uganda Prisons Service has confirmed that the country currently has 93 inmates on death row, while reiterating that no executions have been carried out since 1999, Nile Post reported on June 11, 2026.
