Vali (Wali) Zandian was hanged at the Ardabil Prison on April 18. According to some source, the day could have been April 24. Zandian, age 45, was sentenced to death for rape charges.

The Bombay High Court has commuted the death sentences of two men convicted in the 2013 kidnapping and murder of 22-year-old youth from Ozar area of Nashik district in Maharashtra, ETV reported on June 26, 2026.
