The Ministry of Interior on 14 January 2020 issued a statement regarding the execution of Muammar Al-Qadhafi Muhammad Omar Al-Qenawy, an Egyptian, in the Tabuk region for smuggling banned amphetamine pills.
Saudi authorities on 7 January 2026 ccarried out the execution of three citizens in a mass execution, carried out under discretionary (taʿzir) rulings based on judicial interpretation, as part of the escalating wave of political executions in the Kingdom.
