YEMEN: DEATH SENTENCE AGAINST PAKISTANI UPHELD
October 6, 2009: the Sana'a Appeal Court in Yemen upheld a death sentence against a Pakistani and jailed five others for 25 years after convicting them of drug trafficking.
Judge Mohamed al-Hakimi acquitted nine other Pakistanis of the group of 16 who were arrested in Yemen's territorial waters in April of 2008 on board a boat from Pakistan.
