CHINA EXECUTES MAN FOR RUNNING OVER MONGOL HERDER

China executes more people than any other nation

25 August 2011 :

according to the official Xinhua News Agency, China executed truck driver Li Lindong for killing ethnic Mongol herder Mergen on May 10, while he was protesting the noise and pollution of coal trucks going through his village.
Li was sentenced to death in June by the Intermediate People's Court in the region's Xilingol League.
