FLORIDA (USA): JURY RECOMMENDS DEATH FOR WOMAN IN MURDER CASE

14 December 2010 :

in Florida, a Marion County jury recommended 7-5 that Emilia Carr, 26, white, be put to death for kidnapping and murdering Heather Strong, 26, white.
Circuit Judge Willard Pope will imposes a sentence on Carr on Feb. 22 of next year.
He will first preside over a hearing on Jan. 11 to give the defendant's family one last opportunity to plead for a life sentence.
Carr and boyfriend Joshua Fulgham are accused of luring Strong to an abandoned storage trailer in mid-February 2009. Fulgham was married to Strong, but the couple were estranged at the time.
He and his wife had 2 children and were in a custody battle.
Strong’s remains were discovered on March 19, 2009, in a shallow grave on the property. Fulgham, now 29, white, is scheduled to go to trial early next year on the same charges.
Fulgham is also the purported father of Carr’s child, whom she delivered shortly after being booked into jail after her arrest.
