GHANA: MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER

16 September 2010 :

A Ho High Court, in Ghana, sentenced Benjamin Deble, an Electrician, and Raymond Agbeve a labourer, to death by hanging for murdering one Shalif Abu, a Taxi Driver.
This followed a unanimous guilty verdict against the two by a seven-member jury after a five-year trial.
The two would also serve 30 years each in jail for conspiracy and robbery to run concurrently before being hanged.
The Court was presided over by Justice Kofi Essel Mensah.
