January 2, 2024 - 3 men executed in Ardabil on January 3.
Naser Peydayi, Mohammad Nadiri, and Farzad Mohammadi
On 3 January, state media reported the execution of three unnamed men for drug-related charges. On January 6 IHR has established their identities as Naser Peydayi, 48-year-old Mohammad Nadiri, and Farzad Mohammadi.
According to informed sources, Farzad Mohammadi suffered from mental health disorders and was under medical care. He was unwell prior to arrest and was on medication.
