IRAN. AFGHAN BOY HANGED FOR DRUG SMUGGLING - HUMAN RIGHTS WATCHDOG

the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission received evidence from an Iranian court suggesting that an Afghan teenager was hanged.
The document, which has the stamp and logo of an Iranian court, shows that a 17 year old Afghan boy was hanged on charges of smuggling less than 1.5 kg of drugs. An Iranian deputy minister of foreign affairs strongly rejected the execution of Afghan teenagers in his country.
According to the human rights commission, more than 15 other teenagers are awaiting execution in Iranian prisons. The document says the court of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a verdict on an Afghan teenager who was said to be 17 years old on the day of detention.
He was convicted of smuggling 1.48 kg of crystal (heroin).
