IRAN. DISABLED MAN PUBLICLY HANGED FOR MURDER

Behrouz Mehranpour, a disabled Iranian man convicted of killing two relatives, was hanged in a public square, the first such execution of 2006. Mehranpour, 22 (18 at the time of the crime), who had sight and hearing impairments, killed his cousin and aunt more than four years ago, the Jomhuri Eslami newspaper said.
