IRAN: SIX HANGED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

six people have been hanged recently in Iran for drug trafficking.
One prisoner was hanged on September 11 in the prison of Meshgin shahr (in the northwest Iranian province of Ardebil).
According to the state-run Iranian news agency ISNA, the prisoner who was not identified by name, was convicted of drug trafficking.
On September 10 two Iranians were executed for the possession and sale of four kilograms of heroin in the city of Sari in Mazandaran province, ISNA quoted the chief prosecutor of the city, Sari Khujatulislam Jafari, as saying.
Three prisoners were hanged in the prison of Oroumieh (northwestern Iran) on September 8, reported Moukrian news agency.
According to the report the prisoners were identified as Yunes, Mahiaddin and Rashid Gh., all belonging to the same family. They were allegedly convicted of drug trafficking.
The official Iranian sources haven’t reported these executions yet.
