28 April 2009 :

a lorry driver was sentenced to death by the Malaysian High Court after he was found guilty of trafficking in 511g of cannabis.
Mohd Shuzairil Shamsuddin, 40, was sentenced by Justice Datuk Syed Ahmad Helmy Syed Ahmad. Shuzairil was found to have committed the offence in Bandar Baru Ampang on July 3, 2006.
"After scrutinising the evidence of all witnesses, I'm satisfied that the prosecution has proved the case beyond reasonable doubt and there is one penalty, death”, he said.
During the trial, seven prosecution and two defence witnesses were called to give evidence.
