PAKISTAN: DEATH PENALTY AWARDED FOR MURDER

31 August 2009 :

in Kasur, Pakistan, Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Ajmal Hussain awarded the death sentence and a Rs 50,000 fine to Khadim Hussain.
Four others were acquitted and one co-accused was sentenced to life imprisonment. According to the prosecution, the convicts killed Muhammad Anwar over an agricultural land dispute.
