SAUDI ARABIA: MAN EXECUTED FOR KILLING NEPHEW

A Saudi man was beheaded by the sword in Saudi Arabia for murdering his nephew with the help of a young cousin, who was sentenced to jail and 800 lashes, the interior ministry said.
Hussein al-Barqi was executed for slitting the throat of his sister's son in Asir, a southwestern region near the Yemeni border, said a statement carried by the official SPA news agency.
The killer's cousin, Mohammed al-Barqi, was handed a sentence of 20 years in prison and 800 lashes for helping in the crime, the statement said, without explaining how or why he did so.
Another apparent relative, identified only as Ali al-Barqi, was sentenced to eight years in prison and 600 lashes, the ministry said, without elaborating.
No details were given on the date of the crime, the motive or the victim's age.
