in the United Arab Emirates, the Dubai Cassation Court upheld the death sentence awarded to Egyptian AM for killing his compatriot HM in his apartment at Al Baraha area and stealing cash and other belongings. The First Instance Court awarded the death penalty, which was last month upheld by the Court of Appeal.
A policeman testified that 18 gold bracelets and a mobile phone were found in AM's apartment.
The convict pleaded not guilty and claimed that the victim was still alive when he left his flat.
