15 June 2010 :

in the United Arab Emirates, presiding Judge of the Fujairah Criminal Court of First Instance Saeed Abdullah Masoud sentenced an UAE national to death for murdering his wife in 2009 in the Roll Dedna area. The unidentified man confessed to killing his wife by beating her, pouring acid on her, and smashing her head with a big stone. 
The investigation team learnt that the couple had domestic disputes since they got married around four months ago.
