VIETNAM: MAN GETS DEATH SENTENCE FOR KILLING CREDITOR

in Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court sentenced Chau Hung Son, 49, to death for killing his creditor and her cousin.
He also received five years in prison for robbery. Son kidnapped and electrocuted Vo Thi Hoa and her cousin Tran Quyet Thang in December 2008 to evade a debt of VND600 million (US$33,680). His family was ordered to compensate the victims’ families.
