IRAN. CONVICTED DRUG TRAFFICKER HANGED
September 25, 2005: an Iranian man convicted of drug trafficking was hanged in the northern city of Sari, in Iran’s Mazandaran province, the Kayhan daily reported.
The man, identified as Nabi Paykoufteh, had been arrested with more than 10 kilos (22 pounds) of narcotics, and was one of five members of a gang known as the "Wild West".
