IRAN. CONVICTED MURDERER HANGED
April 9, 2006: an Iranian man convicted of murder was hanged in southern Kerman province. The man, Ali Pourmohiabadi, was hanged at the crime scene in the town of Mohiabad. According to a local judge he had burnt the body of his victim, Hossein Iranmanesh, and hurled it into a well in 2001.
He was also convicted of robbery and adultery had been flogged before execution. (Sources: Agence France Presse, 09/04/2006)
