PAKISTAN. TWO MEN HANGED FOR MURDER
September 21, 2006: two condemned prisoners were hanged in Pakistan’s central Multan Jail and the Dera Ghazi Khan District Jail. Tahir Saleem had shot dead his uncle Muhammad Latif when he recognised him during a robbery attempt on October 12, 1996. In a separate case, Ghulam Fareed alias Farida of Karor-lal Eisan, was hanged in Dera Ghazi Khan prison for shooting dead inmate Manzoor Hussain during a robbery in 1996.
