May 20, 2007: A Pakistani national convicted of drug trafficking has been hanged in Kuwait, officials said.
Khan Anwar Islam, the first person executed in Kuwait this year, was arrested in 2002 at Kuwait airport trying to smuggle 813 grams of heroin by swallowing it.
