PAKISTAN. MAN EXECUTED IN SUKKUR CENTRAL JAIL FOR MURDER
June 28, 2007: in Pakistan, a man was executed by hanging at Sukkur Central Jail One, according to Jail Superintendent Malik Altaf. Shahzada Malangi was convicted of murdering hotel manager Col Bilal during a robbery in Karachi on November 2, 1998. The Anti Terrorism court in Karachi awarded Malangi the death sentence on May 22, 1999. The President rejected his mercy plea after all his appeals had been rejected by the higher courts.
