INDIA: MUMBAI GUNMAN SENTENCED TO DEATH
May 6, 2010: in India, judge M.L. Tahaliyani sentenced Pakistani Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, 22, to death for a 2008 terrorist attack on Mumbai that killed more than 160 people.
He was the lone surviving gunman from the three day shooting rampage that started on November 26, 2008.
Kasab was sentenced to death for four crimes and about two dozen lesser sentences ranging from life imprisonment to a month in jail. (Sources: New York Times, 07/05/2010)
