MALAYSIA: 14 DEATH-ROW PRISONERS GET PARDON
June 22, 2010: fourteen prisoners who received the death sentence in Malaysia were pardoned between 2000 and 2009, including two who were freed. Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said seven of them were now serving life imprisonment, while the sentence of four others had been reduced to 20 years' jail.
