IRAN: 23 INMATES REPORTEDLY EXECUTED IN OCTOBER

November 2, 2010: 23 prisoners were executed in Mashhad, the capital of Iran's northeastern Khorasan Razavi Province, over the past 30 days, the Iranian news website Rahana reported.
It said 13 prisoners were hanged on October 5, and 10 more were hanged on October 12.
The agency said that the executed prisoners had been convicted of distribution and possession of drugs.
