CHINA: 9 EXECUTED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
December 23, 2010: China executed at least nine people for drug-related crimes in the eastern province of Anhui after the Supreme People's Court cleared the executions, state media reported. Those hanged included Han Qingfeng and Li Peishen convicted of trafficking about 10.5 kilograms of heroin and Chen Dengkui, 55, who reportedly headed a gang which manufactured and sold massive quantities of methamphetamines.
