VIETNAM: NIGERIAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR DRUGS
March 23, 2011: Nigerian national Michael Ikenna Nduanya, 34, was sentenced to death in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, for heroin trafficking in December 2009.
Nduanya allegedly asked his wife, 27-year-old Nguyen Thi Hai Anh, to collect about one kg of heroin from Cambodia. She was arrested at a Ho Chi Minh City bus depot and sentenced to life imprisonment.
A group of Africans enlisted them to help move heroin from India to China, according to Nduanyaâs testimony. (Sources: The Nation, 24/03/2011)
