IRAN: FIVE PRISONERS EXECUTED
November 20, 2011: Five prisoners were hanged in two different prisons in Iran early in the morning.
According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA three unidentified prisoners were hanged in the prison of Sari (northern Iran). The report said that the prisoners were convicted of drug trafficking wthout giving further details.
The Iranian national broadcasting (IRIB) in the province of Bakhtiari reported that two prisoners were hanged in Boroujen (Bakhtiari province, western Iran). The prisoners were identified as "Ramin Hatemi" (26 years old) and "Asghar Tahmasebi" (32 years old) and were convicted of raping an 18 years old girl last year.
