The case goes back to the end of last year when the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Sharjah Police received a tip-off that a gang of five members had planned to bring into the country a quantity of narcotics for peddling over the Dibba Al Hisn land border check point. They were arrested with 18kg of hashish and 20,000 tramadol tablets.
