IRAN: EIGHT PEOPLE EXECUTED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
November 9, 2012: Eight people have been hanged in Iran in the last days for drug trafficking.
Seven prisoners were hanged on November 8 in Shiraz, five of them in public, Fars reported.
The prisoners who were hanged publicly were reportedly identified as: Parviz K., Majid D., Feyz Mohammad M., Ali M. , and Reza D.
Two other prisoners were reportedly hanged in Adelabad prison early in the morning.
According to the official website of the Iranian judiciary in the province of Khorrasan Razavi, a prisoner was hanged on November 7 in Vakilabad prison, in Mashhad. The prisoner was identified as "M. P." (Sources: Iran Human Rights, 08/11/2012)
