IRAN: TWO BROTHERS PUBLICY EXECUTED
January 5, 2013: two prisoners were hanged publicly in the town of Shahr-e-Kord (western Iran) early the morning, reported the Iranian state media. According to the state run news agency Mehrnews the prisoners who were brothers, were convicted of sodomy rape for kidnapping and raping a 17-year-old boy. None of the prisoners were identified by name and their age is not announced in the report. The public hanging was carried out at the Bazar (market) crossing of SHahr-e-Kord.
