MALAYSIA: IRANIAN SISTERS SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
March 29, 2013: Two Iranian sisters were sentenced to death by the High Court in Malaysia for trafficking in methamphetamine which was found strapped on their waist.
Fatemah Zandiyeh Mohamad, 24, an unemployed, and Tahmineh Zandieh Mohammad, 26, a photographer, were convicted by judge Datuk Nurchaya Arshad after a full trial.
Fatemah was charged with trafficking 1,489.8 gm of meth while Tahmineh was alleged to have trafficked in 1,497gm of the same drugs at the KLIA arrival hall on May 5, 2011.
