IRAN: 4 PEOPLE SENTENCED TO DEATH BY STONING
July 2, 2013: The International Committee Against Stoning received information from Tabriz prison that two people had been sentenced to death by stoning. Zarah Saee and Ali Saee, cousins from a village in East Azerbaijan Province in Iran, are accused by the Islamic regime of having had sex outside of marriage. The sentence was handed down by the Supreme Court and confirmed by the Chief Justice Sadeq Larijani.
The International Committee Against Stoning also heard from several news sources that there were two more people who had been sentenced to death by stoning in Tabriz prison â Mohammad Reza Jamali and his wife Khadija Mohammad Ali Zadeh, who is a womenâs rights activist.
