IRAN: PRISONER HANGED AS ROUHANI GAVE SPEECH AT UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY

September 24, 2013: A prisoner was hanged in the Gohardasht Prison, in the city of Karaj, at the same day that the Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani was giving speech in the UN General Assembly.
The prisoner had been transferred to a solitary confinement along with some other prisoners to proceed with their execution sentence.
The man hanged was identified as Lotfallah Faramarzi, 48. He had spent 4 years in prison.
