IRAN: NINE PRISONERS EXECUTED IN TWO DAYS
February 16, 2015: At least nine prisoners have been executed in Iran in two days.
On February 15, the regime hanged six prisoners in two prisons in the southern cities of Shiraz and Kerman. A group of four prisoners were hanged in Adelabad Prison in the city of Shiraz, according to reports received from Iran. Another group of two men were executed in Shahab Prison in the city of Kerman. Asghar Shabani and Mehrdad Abshirin were members of a group of three prisoners who had been transferred to isolation on February 14 to face execution.
The third member of the group was Shabaniâs wife whose fate is unknown.
These executions have been carried out in secret and no information has been published in the news media in the country.
Two Baluchi prisoners were hanged on February 14 in the main prison in the southeastern city of Chabahar after spending four years in prison.
The two men were identified as Hamed Kahrazhi, 28, and Mobasher Mir-Balochzehi. They had been sentenced to death on the charges of âMoharebehâ or enmity with God.
On the same day a prisoner was hanged in the main prison of Rasht, announced the Gilan provinceâs judiciary.
The 43-year-old man had been arrested and sentenced to death on drug related charges. (Sources: NCRI, 14-15/02/2015)
