PAKISTAN: ONE DEATH ROW CONVICT HANGED IN LAHORE
September 22, 2015: A murder convict identified as Imran was hanged in the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. He had killed a man over a minor dispute almost 13 years back in Nankana Sahab. His appeal for clemency was rejected by Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain.
Since the de facto ban on capital punishment ended on 17 December 2014 until 22 September 2015, at least 240 people, including twenty-five convicted terrorists, have been executed across the country. (Sources: dailytimes.com.pk and Hands off Cain, 22/09/2015)
