LIBYA: DAESH EXECUTES THREE PRISONERS IN SIRTE
February 12, 2016: An armed group attributed to Daesh executed three Libyans in Sirte city.
Daesh charged the prisoners with the charges of participating in the clashes that took place on the 11th of August last year, between residents of the 'district No. 3' and Daesh militias.
Local sources in the city told LANA that the three citizens were executed by a firing squad, after being held in captivity since last August.
The same group of Daesh militants recently executed two youths, who were detained in raids by Daesh from their homes last October under the same charges.
Sources confirmed to LANA that Sirte residents are increasingly evacuating to nearby cities, due to severe shortages in basic materials in the city, and the increase of Daesh activities.
Reports indicate that Daesh is attempting to force Sirte residents to swear allegiance to what they call Amirul Mu'mineen "commander of the faithful" Abu-Bakr al-Baghdadi. (Sources: albawaba.com, 14/02/2016)
