PAKISTAN: MURDER CONVICT SENT TO GALLOWS
March 1, 2016: A murder convict was sent to the gallows in District Jail Jhang early in the morning. According to the jail admin, Muhammad Ali, a resident of Bhuwana had wanted to marry a married woman and for the purpose had gunned down her husband in 1998.
All his appeals were rejected by the apex courts and the president. He was hanged to death early Tuesday (March 1) morning in District Jail Jhang. Later, the dead body was handed over to the heir. (Sources: The Nation newspaper, 02-Mar-2016)
