IRAN: 3 WOMEN EXECUTED ON THE SAME DAY
April 14, 2016: Three women were executed on the same day in Iran.
Ameneh Rezaiyan, 43, from Taybad in eastern Iran, was sentenced to death two years ago.
Another two women are also believed to have been among a group of seven prisoners who were hanged collectively in a prison in Birjand, north-east Iran.
Their names were not given, but they stood accused of drugs-related offences.
Another woman, identified only as Khavar B., is on death row and facing imminent threat of execution in Kashmar Prison. (Sources: Iran Focus, 17/04/2016)
